Goals
This project calls the third graders at Twin Lake Elementary to give of their time, talent, and treasures for the benefit of those less fortunate in our community.
Goal one is to stock the food pantry at the Muskegon Rescue Mission. This food pantry is stocked from donations only. As the students read, they earn a shopping credit from Meijer Inc. Kids then go shopping and collect needed items for the mission. All purchased items are donated to the food pantry.
The second goal is for the third graders to grow as readers. The countless hours sitting down and reading will help develop kids who have a lifelong love of books.
